It could be recalled that students of the Faculty of Engineering had on Wednesday the 22nd of April, 2015, embarked on a peaceful demonstration over the alleged political marginalization of the Faculty of Engineering in the activities of the University's Student Union Government (SUG), following the disqualification of an SUG presidential candidate and a student of the Faculty of Engineering, Bassey Bassey popularly known as 'Base-B'.
