The 2016/2017 Post-UTME Screening Exercise of the University of Uyo has been suspended till further notice.
The reason for the suspension was not officially stated. However, it might not be unconnected with the recent decision by the Federal Government to scrap the Post-UTME Exercise organized by Nigerian Universities.
Exactly three weeks ago, the Minister of Education Mallam Adamu Adamu, in Abuja after declaring open the 2016 Combined Policy Meeting on
Admissions to Universities, Polytechnics and other Higher Institutions
in Nigeria, announced the scrapping of the Post-UTME exercise.
The Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation
Examination (Post-UTME) was introduced in 2005 by the then Minister of Education, Mrs. Chinwe Obaji.
Candidates are advised to keep calm, as we await further information on the development, from the University Authorities.
