Yesterday, officials of the University of Uyo Student Union Government visited an orphanage at Nwaniba, for the Valentine celebrations.
The Etuk Jonathan-led SUG donated some gift items ranging from cartons of noodles, toileteries, biscuits, sweets and cash to the children.
Receiving the gift items on behalf of the children, the administrator of the Orphanage Rev. Sister Francisca thanked the SUG for the goodwill and decision to share love with the children in this season of love. The children thanked the officials and offered prayers for them.
Interacting with the children, the President advised them never to give up on their God-given talents and believe in God, who is capable of helping them make the best out of their lives. He also thanked the Vice Chancellor for his support towards making the visit possible.
