Activities have come to a standstill at the University of Uyo (UNIUYO) after members of the institution’s chapter of the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU), embarked on a strike action.
Students were unattended to at various offices, due to the ongoing NASU strike. Some fresh graduates who visited the Student Affairs Division for their NYSC Mobilization documentation were turned down, due to the strike.
One of the students, Mfon Thompson said: "They just refused attending to us at the office. I have no idea why NASU is on strike,"
The strike started on Thursday 2nd July, 2015.
